The International Festival of Theatre Art "The Polar Star"

19 - 23 november, 2014, Murmansk


The international festival of theatre art "The Polar Star" was held for the first time in Murmansk in 1999.

The festival has no genre restrictions, its playbill features drama, puppet theater, musical theater, jazz, dance. Its participants are professional teams from the regions of Russia and foreign countries, amateur folk groups of Murmansk region. One of the important missions of the event is to present modern theater, introduce new professional teams, open unknown names in Russian and foreign culture.

By tradition, the festival is held on a non-competitive basis. The festival participants are awarded with diplomas. The festival format encompasses press conferences, viewing and debating performances, round table discussion and master classes.
